Still is an experiential ceramic installation that is about being present in the absence. Expressing the ephemeral moment of time that is memory and translating it into the physical realm. The environment that is built would mimic our childhood experiences and evoke a feeling or memory from the past.
The intent is to create a parallel universe where it seems playful at first. As you explore deeper, it becomes otherworldly, the fly agaric mushrooms begin to evolve into something that is increasingly strange. The interactions between the girls explore themes of solitude, identity, struggle, and fragility - moments in time where we could reflect on our own childhood experiences.
